How Our SMS Opt-In Works

Customers of LA Massage & Skincare (San Gabriel, CA) and Garfield Spa (Monterey Park, CA) can choose to receive optional text updates — appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and waitlist alerts when a spot opens up. Enrollment happens in person only, at our front desks, and only after the customer verbally agrees. There is no online, website, or keyword-based opt-in. Text updates are optional and never a condition of any purchase or service.

The Verbal Consent Script

When a customer books or asks about the waitlist, front-desk staff read this script (in English or Chinese). The same language for LA Massage & Skincare substitutes that business name.

“Would you like optional text updates from Garfield Spa? If you say yes, we’ll text you appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and waitlist alerts when a spot opens up.

Only if the customer answers yes does staff enter their mobile number into our scheduling system, which records the consent. The customer then receives a confirmation text naming the spa. If they decline, no number is stored and we contact them by phone call instead.
